Resiliency for Service Providers:
How Can Our Community Process Grief and Promote Healing
in Times of Loss?
Wednesday, June 14th 9:30am-3:00pm
AC Hotel by Marriott, Worcester
125 Front Street, Worcester, MA
2021 marked the first time the United States eclipsed 100,000 deaths from drug-related overdoses. The following year, the nation marked 1 million deaths from COVID-19. Human service and social service providers have dealt with incredible loss, grief, and trauma over the past three years, while new and emerging public health crises have changed the nature of their work.
This free, in-person summit will gather providers from across Massachusetts working in various human and social service fields. Our focus will be ways in which providers can support themselves, their coworkers, and their clients to process grief, as well as how organizations can promote resiliency and facilitate healing for their employees and constituents. We will engage experts in these topics and leaders in the community via keynote remarks and facilitated workshops exploring the intersection of grief and spirituality, the arts, harm reduction, and more.
